Saving money, cutting the cord, and watching live sports is now an option! Here are two new ways to view live sports without a cable subscription.

One of the big reasons people have hesitated to cut the cord in the past was because of live sports. Until this spring, it was almost impossible to watch your local teams regularly, or watch a wide array of sports networks such as ESPN, FSN FS1, The Big 10 network, NBCSN, the Golf Channel, and the like. Thanks to some new streaming services that have debuted, you can finally convince your significant other that it’s time to talk about cord cutting, and call us.  Here’s the other thing, everyone pays the same price! There’s no haggling, no new subscriber discounts, no contracts, no obligations, no cable company hassles, nothing. Everyone pays the same low price, and you can sign up easily and cancel easily.

Two Ways to Watch Sports and other Live TV without Cable;

1.  PlayStation™Vue‎

PlayStation Vue‎ is a great option for those who need to get ALL the sports. It’s the more expensive streaming option at $30-$40 per month, but the price includes many more channels and a fully functioning ‘cloud DVR’ so you can record shows and watch them at a later date, including sporting events. Most people’s cable bills are well over $100 per month making $30-$40/month feel like a bargain.

Playstation Vue offers all of the premium live sports channels like ESPN, Big 10, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2.

If you’d like to use PlayStation Vue you must have either a compatible Playstation, or an Amazon Fire TV. Call us and we can certainly help you set up and train you on a streaming device. It’s easy

2.  Sling TV

Sling TV is a bit less expensive than PlayStation Vue‎ at only $20 per month and is compatible with more devices and offers a more flexible and affordable array of set-up channel packages.

Sling TV is a great option to watch local teams such as the Twins, the Wild and the Timberwolves live, but does not offer BTN, NBCSN, and you have to choose between ESPN and the Fox networks (Including FSN). If you don’t care about national sports but just need your local teams, Sling is a great option, call us and we can talk about this as well.

As a bonus…

Both services also include non-sports channels. If you are a fan of popular channels like HGTV, food network, History, Discovery, Animal planet, and even TNT these streaming options will offer you the chance to enjoy these channels again depending on the option you choose. We don’t recommend using these services if you’re not a sports fan, there are cheaper options to enjoy the shows you love from those channels.

Now is the Time!

Nowadays there are ways to get the live sports you love without paying premium cable prices. With these options available there is no reason not to cut the cord in 2016. If you’d like to learn more about how to cut the cord and keep your sports feel free to contact us at 763-571-1037.
